## How to remember the interval_2 # How to remember the interval_2

I would like to explain the 4th and 5th intervals.

The 4th and 5th intervals are a little different from the previous 2nd , 3rd , 6th , and 7th .

4th and 5th are not the idea of Major or minor,

Perfect augmented diminished

It becomes the idea.

To remember, if you explain the case from “do” to “sol”, Here, as in the last time, first calculate how many notes are raised from the reference note (lower note) to the upper note.

“do”Counting as 1 and up to “sol”( 1 ) re( 2 ) mi( 3 ) fa( 4 ) sol( 5 ) and5 will go up, so

The width of the interval is 5th .

Next, if there is one half tone “1/2step” from the reference note (lower note) to the upper note, it is Perfect .

If there is no half tone,”1/2 step” it is augmented . If there are two half tone,”1/2 step” it is diminished .

whole tone from “do” to “re”,

whole tone from “re” to “mi”,

From “mi” to “fa” is a half tone,”1/2 step” one came in here,

whole tone from “fa” to “so”,

There is one half tone “1/2 step” from “do” to “so”, sol

The interval will be perfect 5th . Let’s see the case where “sol” is “♭”. “do”Counting as 1 and up to “sol”( 1 ) re( 2 ) mi( 3 ) fa( 4 ) ♭ sol( 5 ) and5 will go up, so

The width of the interval is 5th .

whole tone from “do” to “re”,

whole tone from “re” to “mi”,

From “mi” to “fa” is a half tone,”1/2 step” one came in here,

From “fa” to ” ♭” se is a half tone , one is also here,

There are two half tone from “do” to ” ♭” se, so

The interval is dim5th . Let’s see the case where “sol” is “#”. “do”Counting as 1 and up to “sol”( 1 ) re( 2 ) mi・ ( 3 ) Fa( 4 ) “♯” si( 5 ) and5 will go up, so

The width of the interval is 5th .

whole tone from “do” to “re”,

whole tone from “re” to “mi”,

From “mi” to “fa” is a half tone”1/2 step”, one came in here,

#” si is one and a half notes higher than “fa”,

This whole half note is the point,

If there was no half tone, I said augmented ,

The idea here is the half tone of “fa” and the half tone of “#” si”, which is a semitone up from “mi”.

By adding these half tone and half tone , it can be considered as whole tone (1/2 + 1/2 = 2) .

Thinking that there is no chromatic scale, it became augmented and became

From “do” to ” #” si

The interval will be aug5th . The idea is the same , only the 4th interval from “do” to “fa” goes up by 4 with Doremifa. This concludes the explanation of the interval .

Next time, I would like to consider the interval by giving some different examples , referring to the explanation so far.
